Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this a full-time or part-time opportunity?
A: Neither. As a contractor, you will be offered project-based work as opportunities arise. You are free to accept or decline projects based on your availability and interest.

Q: Can I contract with Layered Education if I am employed elsewhere?
A: Yes! Contractors may hold other employment or contracts, as long as they are able to meet the expectations of the project(s) they accept from us.

Q: Will I need to sign a contract for every project?
A: No. Contractors sign an annual master services agreement that covers the 2025–2026 school year. This allows us to move quickly when projects become available without new paperwork each time.

Q: Are projects guaranteed?
A: Project availability varies based on client needs. While we cannot guarantee a certain number of projects, we work to match opportunities to contractor expertise and interests whenever possible.

Q: Will I be featured on the website if I join the contractor pool?
A: Contractors have the option to be featured on our website by submitting a headshot, short bio, and specialty areas.
