Favorite tools for Managing "Time Blindness"

Children and adults with ADHD can struggle with time blindness. Time blindness is the the difficulty to estimate how long something will take and/or know when time has passed. Losing track of time can happen to everyone, however people with ADHD tend to be more prone to time blindness

Here are a few of my favorite Amazon products for managing time blindness for kids:

I love having timer options. One timer may be working really well for awhile, and then we might need a refresh. The tooth brush and hand wash timer has been a recent game changer in our house for these small tasks that often get rushed through. The visual timer we use for all the things, but it has helped us tremendously with getting dressed not taking 15 minutes anymore. The hour glass timers are great if your kiddo is sensitive to alarms and sounds.

As an adult with ADHD myself, I use the 60 minute visual timer to address tasks that I tend to hyper focus on or overthink. This helps me not spend 3 hours reformatting a guidebook. This timer works better for me than watching the clock or my phone timer.

Try on a new time management tool with your kids and see how it can transform your day!
